DBT is a form of CBT with additional mindfulness and acceptance techniques. It is especially useful for clients who has biological emotional vulnerability and their capacity and motivation to manage their emotions have further worsened by their surroundings. These individuals are prone for impulsive behaviours like self-harm, drug abuse, multiple and inconsistent relationship due to inability to control emotions. It focuses on enhancement of patient’s capabilities and learning new skills. The skills training domains include learning Mindfulness, distress tolerance, emotional regulation and interpersonal effectiveness which therefore helps to INCREASE emotional regulation, behavioural regulation, relationship stability and self regulation and to DECREASE interpersonal chaos, emotional lability, impulsive behaviour and cognitive dysregulation.

1. Borderline Personality Disorders
2. Substance use disorders
3. Eating disorders.

Sessions: It focuses on building skills over a period of 18 to 20 weekly sessions.
